Gift baskets are wonderful ways to pamper the recipient. Today, skin care gift baskets can range in size from a few bottles of lotion to a full spa set with robe and slippers. Fans of organic products can be difficult to buy for, unless you know how to find the products they love.

One of the main reasons for moving to organic skin care products is the harshness or potential hazards of regular commercial products. It's a fact of the modern world that regulations and laws governing production of skin care items isn't as strident as we might think.

Skin care products can contain mercury. They can also have ammonium laureth sulfate. This product, while derived from coconuts, is commonly used in household degreasers. Nitrosamines are another seemingly harmless additive, but are commonly used in rubber products as well as pesticides.

Like the gift basket market, organic skin care products were once relatively difficult to find. Fortunately, their popularity has only risen over time, along with their availability.

The easiest method for finding an organic gift basket is to search for one that's already been assembled. A good retailer will stand behind their baskets and will strive to locate even niche goods for their clients. Sometimes, customers will not be able to locate the specific basket they want or they may just want to create the basket from scratch.

The best way to evaluate organic products is to simply read the label. If you have a bottle of skin moisturizer that contains 75% shea butter and 25% aloe vera, the shea butter will appear first in the ingredient list.

Another way of giving an organic basket is to create an organic food basket. These are widely available online. You can build baskets filled with sweets and treats that are all 100% organic or give a basket with a variety of nuts. You can easily find organic wine and cheese baskets as well as coffees or teas.

If your recipient loves grains and breads, there are organic baskets available. There are some considerations when discussing grain gift baskets.

No matter how much they enjoy grains, never give large baskets filled with breads. Bread doesn't have a long shelf life. Unless they have a large group to feed, they won't be able to enjoy their bread before it goes stale.

Dried pasta makes great gift baskets. It has a long shelf life and organic pastas are relatively easy to find. If you're making your own basket, throw in a number of varieties and brands. You can also add organic pasta sauces or even some designer tongs.

The market for organic products continues to expand into new territory. The traditional organic gift basket was filled with fruits and vegetables, but buyers today can enjoy a host of organic products that cater to a variety of organic fans.
